This is on Stewart Beach, towards the east end of Galveston. Last summer (before
Hurricane Ike), my family and I went down to the beach and I painted a number of small
studies on the beach. I painted this from a photograph I took along with the studies. We
had so many good times in Galveston, I hope it can be rebuilt.
